BTCmarkets which is one of the largest local cryptocurrency exchange in Australia have announced support for OmiseGo (OMG) token and they are also planning to add lot more coins this year according to their official tweet. Some experts thinks this move is one of the many strategies local exchanges will now consider to remain in business because many new foreign subsidiary exchanges like Huobi Australia are growing as competitors. BTCmarkets offers AUD trading pairs and charge around 0.90% per trade which is surprisingly high compared to Huobi Australia which only have 0.20% fee on both taker and maker. Therefore it looks like BTCmarkets is now trying to get attention from diverse crypto enthusiasts and retain their users by offering more trading pairs as well as lower trading fees.
According to the tweet they will also distribute OMG to all ETH holders who had ETH on the platform at the time of OMG airdropped which is exactly one year ago i.e. 7th July 2017. However to be eligible for this airdrop users need to have atleast 0.10 ETH at the above date.
